- Dice Photos
Photographers use shape to create more visual effects. Shapes can convey different feelings; for example, circles suggest movement, while squares and rectangles convey stability. I used shape with the dices, they have a square shape and they are all together. Shape and Contrast Photographers use value using the lightness or darkness of tones in an image, to create dimension and contrast. When they control the light and the shadow, they focus on some points and create more attention in them. I used value with the figure of the bird, and editing the image to a black and white colour. You can see that the beak of the crow is more light than the rest of the body. Value and Unity Photographers use texture to add visual interest and depth to the images. They capture the surface quality of objects, showing variations in colour, shadow, line, and shape. I used texture with the flowers cause you can see the different texture in the petals of it. Texture and Emphasis Photographers use pattern and repetition to create an engaging image. You can use repetition in shapes, colours... You can use pattern including variations in spacing and the incorporation of contrasting elements. I used pattern and repetition with the markers. I took a few and even though they are of different colors, you can clearly see that they have the same shape and all together they are what give the pattern and repetition. Space and Pattern & Repetition Photographers use emphasis to draw the viewer's eye to a specific subject or element within an image, making it the focal point. Emphasis ensures the intended message is conveyed effectively. I used emphasis converting the image to black and white except for three of the books in the image, which I have left in their original color, so people will notice and focus first on these three specific books. Colour and Emphasis Photographers use balance by distributing visual weight evenly across the image. This can be done symmetrically, with mirrored elements, or asymmetrically, using elements of differing sizes and weights. I used balance with Makenna's eyes, placing them one on each side of the photo with the lines of the box on her head. Creating a symmetrical photo. Lines and Balance
- Shutter Speed
What is a shutter speed? A shutter speed is how fast or slow the shutter opens and closes. When are slow shutter speeds useful to photographers? Slow are useful when you want the moving subject to be blurred or you want to let more light into the photo. When are fast shutter speeds useful to photographers? Fast are useful to stop motion in sports photography, and to capture quick moments. What is the recommended way to prevent camera shake when using slow shutter speeds? Use a tripod and set a timer. Do you think you have a good understanding of shutter speed? How can you use this knowledge in future photos? Yes, I do. I can use it for be more creative and make my photographs more interesting. I used colour in this photo, using an umbrella for it. I t makes a blurry mix of a lots of colours at the same time. I also used unity taking a photo of the hole subject in it. I used balance, since the photo feels with good stability. And I also used lines. You can see the lines in the football field. In this photo, I used shape. You can see the volleyball ball in it. I also used emphasis. You can see that the background is blurry so people is gonna focus on the boy throwing the ball. In this other one, I used space, using a negative space in the backround, empty. And in this one I also used emphasis since people will focus on the part where the spark is seen. I used color using the basketball ball. There is also negative space because the background is all in one color, so you don't have anything to focus. In this last one, I used unity. All the subject, in this case the ball, is in the photo and you can see it perfectly. There is also shape, since we can see that the ball is perfectly round. 1.The idea behind panning as a technique in photography is slowing the shutter speed slightly combined with moving the camera the same way the subject is moving. 2. Panning works best in dim lighting, not dark, but dim. Because the shutter is open for longer it brings more light into the photo. If you were to do this in a bright light place the photo could come out looking very bright and hard to see. Depending on how long your shutter is open for the brightness will differ. 3. The concept of panning is easy, all you have to do is move the camera the same speed and direction of your subject. The camera has to follow the subject in a straight line or else it will be blurred. 4. If you want to take a panning photo you have to have a good attitude and be very patient. Panning is difficult, it takes a long time to do and I noticed that most of the photos you take are going to fail so you have to be willing to try over and over again. 5. I think that my photos were successful because I was able to catch the subject in motion.
- Abstract photos
In this photo I used value and balance. Value in the colour red and blue, and balance, because each colour balance the other one. In that one I used space and movement. I used negative space for the background, and movement in Makenna that she was in movement during the photo. In this photo I used shape and emphasis. Shape in the forms of the tree decoration, and emphasis because when you first look into the picture your eyes get drawn to the beads. In that one I used lines and balance. Lines with the shadow of the window and the T-shirt, and balance because the photo looks complete. In the last photo, I used shape and movement. Shape in the form like a circle, and movement because during the photo we were moving that lights.
- Triptychs
"MY PASSION PROCESS" The idea of this triptych is showing the process of the ball before it enters to the hoop. The triptych is successfully created because is made with three photos in different angles, showing how the ball starts with the shoot and then how fly and finally enter. What I thought I wanted to do from the beginning. I can see the element of art; shape. I used in the hoop and the ball, because both are spheres. The principle of design here is movement, because the ball moving is moving in the shoot. The rule of photography is viewpoint, because the photos are taking by three different angles. "THE COWGIRLS FRIENDSHIP" The idea of this triptych is show how two cowgirls friends hold their hands. The triptych is successfully created because you can see how the three photos are connected to holding their hands and it's what I wanted to do. I can see the element of art; shape. It's in how their hands fit together. The principle of design here is emphasis, because I'm trying to focus the attention of the viewers on the hands. The rule of photography is leading lines, because the lines on the arms lead to the hands. "SMILING MAKES YOU HAPPY" The idea of this triptych is show the different lengths of viewing a person and in different poses. The triptych is successfully created because shows the same person far, a little bit near, and in front of the camera and in different poses. That's what I wanted to show. I can see the element of art; lines. You can see the lines in the stairs. The principle of design here is pattern & repetition, because behind in the stairs, the lines make a pattern. The rule of photography is leading lines, because the lines on the stairs lead to the subject.
- Review Collages
How do photographers use ______ in photos? ELEMENTS OF ART - SHAPE Photographers often use c ircles to create a feeling of harmony and balance, while triangles can add a sense of movement and drama. Squares and rectangles can help to create a sense of structure and also order. PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN - EMPHASIS Photographers use emphasis using shallow depth of field, or selective focus, when you take a photo. This will blur most of the image except for the focal point, which should be in sharp focus. They want you to pay attention in the object they want. RULES OF PHOTOGRAPHY - LEADING LINES Photographers use leading lines because they lead the viewer's eyes through a photograph to the subject or the heart of the image, and lines can create a sense of three-dimensionality, especially in landscape photography.
